Josh dreams of guitar success
Guitar lessons at primary school could have been the start of something big for 13-year-old Joshua Hart who is about to release his first EP.
Joshua, from Wardley, soon discovered he had a natural talent for music when he took up the instrument in November 2013, encouraged by his primary school tutor Richard Godridge.
Joshua performs at local charity gigs and festivals as lead guitarist with five-piece rock band Unknown Refuge.
Unknown Refuge were the proud winners of the fundraising competition Manchester Music Makers IV at Band on The Wall, sponsored by Hill Dickinson Solictors, on Thursday 30th June.
Joshua also personally supports St Ann’s Hospice after his late grandma Annie Hart (84) was a patient there. He has recently played at the St Ann’s summer fair in Little Hulton and also at the St Charles Primary School summer fair, jamming with fellow musicians Marc Winstanley and Anthony Batley.
Joshua’s four-track EP is called After all and is released as a solo artist under his stage name Blak Hart.
Joshua’s dream is to fill stadiums one day. His passion for music is overwhelming. He is inspired by bands such as Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC and artists such as Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. He will always be a supporter of St Ann’s for the way they looked after his grandma. Keith, Joshua's dad
